Session #2----- 3-5-07

What I learned from this class...

Creating essential questions encourage you to think about what you would like students to learn from your class from many different angles. It also makes me think about what is really important and what is not. Sometimes science and math do not leave room for various outcomes

I am greatful to have more resources that I can share with my students to help them become effective thinkers and problem solvers.

I'm with you and Sarah, Lisa. We need to continually seek out the truly important stuff and make it the core of learning for our kids, even if it means changing what we are doing today. Thanks for bringing your insights to the group.

With the explosion of information, determining the really important stuff is crucial. Essential Questions require lots of wrestling....but from that wrestling comes some good thinking. I'm told they get easier over time!
See you on Thursday.
